I already wrote the second comment listed on the website. I just wanted to do the survey because I hadn't seen that before.

Carlos is the best! As the other customer said, he always explains what needs to be done now and what can wait. He explains all of your options and tries to get the work done at the most reasonable cost. I'm very dependent on my car and he always gets the work done as quickly as possible and gets me back on the road. I recommend him to all my friends!

I have taken old Jaguars, Oldsmobile Toronado's, Cutlas's and Riviera's, Chrysles and other cars to Carlos to be repaired. He has a complete auto repair shop. Not a hole in the wall. It is kept clean. Carlo's will take the time to test drive a car personaly to find the problem. If it has to be left he will get back in a timely manner. Turn around time is quick. Highly reccomended. 1070 McAllister st. S.F.

Just as I got to SF from my move to LA, my Infiniti J-30 started making this high pitch noise coming from the engine. It sounded horrible! WHat a way to start my new life in SF, right? Not knowing whom to see, I was directed to Carlos' place by a handyman working in front of my new place, who seemed honest enough. I expected the worst and to pay through the nose. To my surprise Carlos diagnosed the problem within a few minutes and told me it would get fixed within a day because the didn't have the part there. Plus the total cost was less then $120, including labor and parts. I'd go back there and recommend Carlos without any hesitation.

Carlos and Juan are both great! So friendly and honest and never pushing unnecessary work. They don't talk down to you, they assume you understand and if you don't, they'll explain things to you respectfully. I've gone to Carlos for over 10 years with my past 3 (older) cars and he's definately extended their lives!

My clutch had been sticking for days and, finally, it was on the verge of needing to be replaced -- I needed a new clutch. 9 out of 10 mechanics would have replaced the clutch and, I bet, over half of them would have done so to my satisfaction. Not Carlos. After taking the car up the street to discover the problem, Carlos diagnosed that the clutch pedal was not fully returning to its proper position. He suggested that we give that possible cure "the benefit of the doubt" but that I ought to return if the problem didn't stop after the quick (10 minute) fix. The stuck pedal was making my ability to shift (extremely) difficult and was creating the pain in my right shoulder that was affecting my jump shot. I was glad I was able to call my wife in time (before she got to the shop to pick me up) and I drove home without further aggravating my shoulder pain. Carlos was the best. Called him at 9:15, saw him at 9:45, got home with my fixed car by 10. He wouldn't let me pay him and instead insisted that he would charge me next time if he had to do some actual work. I hope this review helps others find Carlos -- a small attempt to express my gratitude for his job expertly done.
