I found out about Auto 280 from the tow truck driver who
came to help me with my car when it broke down. He
recommended them highly and I was not disappointed. I have
gone to two other Volvo repair shops in the Bay area and
Auto 280 is by far the best. The shop is busy and you
sometimes have to wait a day or two before you can take it
in. But the work is really good. Garry will work on the
car until he is convinced he has fixed the problem. He
does not try to get you to have unnecessary repairs done on
the car. He also explains the problem and the repairs
carefully. My husband usually used to come with me when I
had to take the car in for work but once I started going to
Auto 280, he did not feel it was necessary. I think these
guys are pretty honest and reasonably priced.

Gary, the owner, has been repairing my two old Volvos (1993
850 turbo sedan and 1996 850 wagon) for over ten years. He
is the best there can be with Volvos - forget going to the
dealers!

I don't think anyone knows the Volvo 240 series like Gary.
Dealers don't seem to want to work on older cars, but no
problem for Gary. He has kept my '91 240 ship shape for the
last 60,000 miles, out of the 260,000 that it has.
As long as Gary is in business, I figure I can get to 500k.

Absolutely terrible experience. They didn't fix any of the problems I had and were very dishonest, saying it'll cost thousands of dollars and a very long time to fix, when other shops in the past were able to do the same thing for a few hundred dollars in less than a day! You're better off going anywhere else.
