On one occasion I was unable to pay for the repairs done on my car and had to leave the car at the garage for one month. They not only stored my car safely but I was not charged for having to leave it there. On another occasion I needed my timing belt replaced. Once the parts were removed and my water pump could be inspected they determined I would need one soon. I did not have the funds to purchase a water pump at the time and told them to just replace the timing belt and I would replace the water pump at a later date. Well they put a water pump in my car free of charge, no charge for the parts or labor. I have complete trust in Roy Wheeler and his mechanics. I have never had a problem after they have done repairs on my vehicle or my husbands. I have recommended Roy to all of my friends. A mechanic like Roy, who is willing to go out of his way and always do a excellent job deserves to be on Car Talks "Mechanix" list.

I met Roy through a friend of mine who is also an excellent mechanic and he himself has Roy do a lot of work for him. Now you just don't get a better recommendation then that. Roy did a smog check on my truck as I was selling it. Roy did such a great and it purred like a kitten. I Really had second thoughts of selling it at that point.

I brought my Ford Ranger in for repair which had an intermittent miss. Fault code indicated cylinder 4 misfire. Mechanic diagnosed the problem as a plugged catalytic converter. With the help of the adjoining muffler shop, they replaced the catalytic converter and billed me $500+. The truck was returned to me running worse than when I brought it in and then told me it probably had a bad valve which they do not work on and sent me on my way. I left feeling they were either incompetent or dishonest. I like to think just incompetent. I pulled the head off and it had two cracked valves.
