Randy and Mark really take care of you. I have a diesel M-B
and an old Bug, and both are in excellent shape, thanks in
no small part to Randy. Not only do they do great work,
they also provide advice or educated guesses as to problems
over the phone, usually spot-on. I have taken their advice
on more than one occasion via phone and have taken care of
the repair myself. I have moved up to LA and they still
provide phone advice and, when need be, I'll travel down to
San Diego for them to handle the problem in person.

I've been an unbiased customer since 1980. These guys are just amazing ... I
won't consider buying a car that they don't work on, just because I don't want
to give them up!

A wonderful shop. For about 15 years I took my car to
Bill Melton, a retired Navy jet plane mechanic. He took
only referrals. But he's been out of business for a few
years.
I was really happy to find Randy's, have referred my kids
to him, and anyone else who would ask me.
I drive a 95 Avalon and think it's in very good hands with
Randy.

Thanks to God and Car Talk Mechanic Files! We just left
our 18 daughter in San Diego to start a summer job. We,
being responsible parents, had her car thoroughly checked
over before we drove it the 1000 miles from Oregon down to
San Diego. One week later, she became stranded along the
road due to a leaking transmission. While dad helped her
deal with AAA and towing, I got online to find a mechanic.
Not only was Randy's well reviewed, it was walking distance
from my daughter's apartment. My husband found Randy very
knowledgeable and his prices reasonable. My daughter thinks
her car has never run better! Thanks also to AAA for
allowing us to have it towed to Randy's rather than
the "default" mechanic.
