When I lived in the Bay Area, I got consistently great service from the guys at European Car Service. I was so happy with their work that I even brought my girlfriend's Mazda Miata to them at one point (they did a great job on that, too). I got so used to the excellent service I got from them that when I moved to Oregon, no mechanics in my area could compare. Since I couldn't get service like I got from European Car Service, I eventually got frustrated enough that I sold my beloved Audi and bought something Japanese.

I really didn't believe crooks like this could have been in business for so long. I brought my car, (my baby) into European Car Service. I was told to wait, they didn't have time for me because of some "dumb by tch's" car they were having trouble finishing. So I waited for a while. Eddy, I think is the old man I met first, total narcissist, kept wandering around cursing and talking about how everyone is stupid... then I kinda met Derek the son, who was in the back of the shop trying to avoid doing any work it looked like. Most of what was said between the owners and staff was pretty offensive, but I wrote them off as being "good ol' boys". Until I heard them talk about charging the "stupid by tch" and extra $1200 for her services, they said she was too stupid to own a car like that and she'd never be able to pay, so they would just keep the car as it only needed about $300 in parts. Both father and son laughed about how she didn't deserve a BMW, women should own cars, and neither should morons. After overhearing this I got back in my car and got the he*l out a there, I could never leave my car in a place like that, not even for a minor service. I hope anyone reading this steers as clear of European Car Service of San Bruno as earthly possible, I can't believe they haven't been shut down. For anyone who didn't get to dodge the bullet like I did, if they have tried to overcharge you or steal your vehicle I urge you to take them to court, get this blight out of beautiful San Bruno. Thanks for trying to edit what I had quoted them saying out of this post... they're to offensive for cartalk
