We were on vacation and our van was overheating. We called this shop because of the reviews on this website and were not disappointed. It is a nice family owned shop; they seemed very honest and fair. They also got the work done quickly. No more overheating!

Jim's shop is very competent and his staff is friendly. They will not try and sell you things yo do not need (as opposed to "stealerships") and get the job done right the first time. As an old guy on his 21st vehicle, their integrity, honesty and just downright friendliness is appreciated. The "4" I gave for price should not dissuade you; they will bill for actual labor for the actual work done--NOT by "book estimates" like the dealers' service departments. Their labor rates are also ~ 17% less than the dealers. Please go, we need more guys like Jim in this business-- it's like visiting your friendly corner mechanic when you were growing up.

My car (Mazda) broke down in Palm Springs, far from home. Jim Kennard very carefully and thoroughly diagnosed the arcane but serious throttle problem created by a flaw in the Traction Control System and resolved it. He is very patient and obviously loves the diagnostic aspect of his work. The charges were fair and his staff was friendly and cooperative(they even provided a ride to the airport). It is obvious to me why Kennard's is the mechanic of choice for Triple A road emergencies.
