I had my Chevy Suburban in for few visits. Once just for a tuneup, which they did very well, only doing what really needed to be done. Another time I had been told by the local AAMCO during a transmission checkup that the automatic was making a lot of noise and was going to fail very soon. Kevin made a careful inspection and found nothing wrong, so he did a standard service on the transmission. It was still running fine 25K later when I sold the vehicle. I figure he saved me more than I paid him, overall.

I cannot add to your survey results, except to stress that Kevin has always been extremely helpful to me. On my last visit I went to find out why my (electric) radiator fan wasn't coming on, thus causing my engine to overheat during our last hot spell. He spent about 10 mins on his computer, then brought a couple of electronic tools out to the parking lot, and after 5 mins showed me the faulty part (a heat sensor), told me what it was called, where to buy it and how to put it in. Once again there was no charge. The female friends to whom I have recomended him have also been very pleased.

Kevin spent an inordinate amount of time working on my old Dodge. There were difficult problems with carburation but he wouldn't give up. He is a fine diagnostician and I plan to bring my MBZ in to have him do the brakes. I trust hi

I have recommend KevinÂ's Auto repair to many people, having full confidence that they treat the customers and the autos right. Having worked as a mechanic myself, I know that work is being completed correctly. Kevin, Tony and all of the staff are friendly even though I keep bringing situations in that are hard to diagnose.

I have been going to Kevin for almost 30 years, as have various family members and several friends, with complete satisfaction. Only one time did something have to be fixed again (apparently a trainee's mistake), and the fix was done immediately and cheerfully. It is rare to find a mechanic who is honest and excellent, but Kevin and his shop repeatedly prove to be an outstanding rarity!

I like to say that I trust Kevin with my life because I am completely comfortable driving my car after he's worked on it. Everyone in the shop is fast and diligent. Kevin's prices are extremely reasonable. Sometimes he'll fix something quick for no charge at all, like replacing a headlight bulb. I've taken all my cars to Kevin even when they were new. I've only ever gone back to the dealer if Kevin's suggested it.

Kevin's Auto is "my shop". The shop is only 3/4 of a mile from my home so I drop my car off and walk home. I first was introduced to the shop more than 5 years ago when I was trying to get a last-minute smog check. While sitting in the waiting room, I met an 80+ year old woman who told me that she'd been coming to Kevin's for years and continues to come every 2-3 weeks to see him because he would top off her fluids and check her tires at no charge. I knew that when I was done with my warrantee at my dealer that I would try this shop. After trying another Volkswagen "specialist" and not feeling the friendliness that I need in order to build trust, I tried Kevin's. I had read a review that said he wasn't the cheapest, but he's also not the most expensive. In the end, I don't know and don't really care because I know that Kevin always gives me a fair (if not better than fair) price, and he treats me like he knows me. Tony, the guy at the front desk, does the same. As a female, I feel "taken care of". Kevin doesn't try to influence me to have services I didn't ask for unless he really thinks I need them. My car is more than 10 years old, and, because it's a Volkswagen, has a lot of issues (especially electrical and oil consumption). I've been procrastinating on looking at new cars, mainly because I'm worried I won't be able to go to Kevin's. But they've assured me that they can take care of all types of cars. I'm going to get my husband to start taking his Acura there and I've recommended him to friends. In my opinion, it's really difficult to find a mechanic or shop that can be trusted to look out for my best interest. I think Kevin's Auto does, and I plan to be there for a long time. :)
