As a female first-time car owner who owns an old beater that I paid too much for, I have been hit on, lied to, and condescended to in 50 different ways all over LA. Mauricio listens carefully to the things I say about my car, he explains things clearly and shows me what's wrong, he tells me if he thinks a repair is not necessary, he charges next to nothing, and he is unfailingly professional and courteous. I now drive an hour to get to his shop. Totally worth it.

They did an excellant job diagnosing and repairing the problems with my Westy. The shop works almost primarily on VW's. Mauricio, the chief mechanic, knows his stuff.

Jomag is fantastic! Mauricio is always friendly and helpful, honest and no- nonsense. We have had him work on our two VW's for 5 years now and we have always been happy. Do not go to the dealership, come to Jomag!

Mauricio is like a good friend to us now. We own a sad little VW Golf with over 135 thousand miles on it. Without him, I would have either lost my mind by now or sold the car. Always polite, timely, reasonably priced.

The first time I went to Jomag and Mauricio introduced him self to me he made a nice impression, he treated me as nice as he had previously treated a male customer. When I was explaining the problem he knew right away what it was and did it in less time than expected. I drive a 72 Super V.W. Beetle-semi automatic bug. Whenever I call him and tell what is wrong with the car he always says bring it let me take a look. Last year my car would not start and we were stuck in South Pasadena. He reccommended me to a reasonable tow service. Through out the years I have been to many mechanics and whenever I went they never saw me only saw the $$ on my forehead until I met Mauricio of Jomag. His telephone is (323) 661-9304.If your car needs new seats, interior work or body work he takes care of it or he can refer you to some one who is reasonable like him. He enjoys what does and so do the other mechancs in his shop. He is ajust mechanic and his mechanics as well. Anyone who goes to his shop will see the differences from other mechanics. Or at least we in our family feel that way since he has our VW running well. If you want an honest mechanic go to Jomag! anyone who goes there will see that he is great.Or at least to me he has been wonderful since he has kept my thirty year old running well.

Mauricio is the best. A mechanic you can actually talk to.

Jomaq's is the first shop I've brought my car to in LA, and I feel so lucky! As a female driver, mechanics have always made me nervous, but the owner, Mauricio was SO nice and put me right at ease. He performed all sorts of tests on my car, listened to all my complaints, proclaimed there was nothing wrong with my car and, the best part, because of this he didn't even charge me--just told me to come back when I need an oil change! I might be the only person to ever leave a mechanic's feeling elated! Really a terrific experience!

This is the only mechanic I've ever met who is completely competent and looks for the least expensive option to fix your car. He only works on VWs, but if you have one, you should definitely visit his shop.
