In spite of the name, this is also a general auto repair shop. The owner John is a very honest and knowledgeable guy. He always gives you an honest assessment of your vehicle and what he thinks needs to be done, as well as what you might be able to wait on. Also, he only hires mechanics who are similarly minded, which is why, while other auto repair places in the same complex have come and gone, John's business is still there after 18 years. He really cares about his customers and their cars. He even sends out Christmas cards with a coupon for 10% off your next service...a very nice touch!

By chance, we came across this shop when we needed some work done on our older car. They told us where to get the parts we needed for less than new to complete the work and save some money instead of charging us the overinflated price from the dealer. Contrary to the name, they are a good general mechanic, and if they cannot do it, they will refer you to someone who can. More recently, they did a lot of work on our minivan that was starting to age. After one faulty part failed, they replaced it with a new one, no questions asked. The owner, John, is a VERY nice guy and does everything he can to explain and answer any questions. If I have anything sort of negative, it is that I need to make an appointment for routine maintenance. But, after my last "speedy" oil change, I will make that appointment a must from now on.
