Taylor BMW is an independent BMW repair shop that can do nearly everything the dealer could do, but for less money and without the attitude. My favorite thing about Taylor is that the mechanics are highly skilled and knowlegable about ALL BMWs (not just recent models), and they are articulate and fun to talk to. I always developed an inferiority complex if I took my 1991 318i to the local dealer, but the guys at Taylor could care less whether you're a college student with an older car or some 7-series-driving executive. Just an aside, they get a number of customers from the Claremont colleges (including females like myself), and are incredibly helpful in telling us automobile non-savants what's going on with our car, whether it needs fixing or not, and how not to break our student banks. I HIGHLY recommend this place as THE alternative to the snooty, impersonal Souther California BMW dealers. Its conveniently located on Foothill Blvd. between Towne and Garey Aves in Pomona.

The guys at Taylor are terrific - I actually look forward to taking my aging 328i in to them. They know BMW's old & new, and like them all. I moved to the Claremont area about 4 years ago, found them through this site, and just want to give them a big thumbs-up. I always get a smile, and feel my car's well-being is their primary goal.

Based on this site's recommendation, I brought my 1988 BMW 325 to them with a nasty oil leak. It turned out to be a little thing and cost me next to nothing. Got my car back a couple hours later and I even got a thank-you card in the mail. Very nice and honest guys.

Excellent mechanics all around. Will do top-notch work for reasonable prices by BMW mechanic standards.

Taylor Independent BMW does not try to sell "ice in winter" - if you have minor cracks in belts that "can_ wait" - they will tell you, as opposed to the dealership where they want to replace every little thing. I have had Taylor replace headlight bulbs for no cost; if I came by with an indicator light, more often then not, it was a minor thing for which they did not charge me. They are honest, friendly and courteous - and their Customer Waiting Area is CLEAN, with decent coffee, and COLD water and sodas - it is a pleasure going there, as opposed to many auto repair shops which are "horrible", dirty, greasy, ugh!
