Jose at Euro-Tech is a master mechanic specializing in Audis and Porsches. He's extremely fair and honest, and does great work at very reasonable rates (especially compared with rip off dealers nearby). I drive a 1996 Audi A4 2.8Q, which runs better now than when new. My car has no modifications but A4 enthusiasts who modify their A4s also rave about Jose and Euro-Tech on Audi/Porsche forums. The shop's in West LA on Pico Blvd.

Jose was recommended to me by some fellow Audi owners on a messageboard. He is fantastic, and I can't recommend him enough. He is totally honest and very helpful, will look at a problem for free and recommend the best course of action. He explains exactly what is going on, what needs to be fixed, and how it works. What more can you ask from a mechanic?

Jose is a joy to deal with. As the others have said, he is honest, his prices are more than fair, and he knows his stuff! I've taken both volkswagens and audis to him, and have had nothing but great results. And he's an extremely nice guy to boot. I can't recommend his shop enough!

Jose and his crew are outstanding. I'm always very skeptical of auto repair shops, so Euro-Tech has really exceeded my expectations. Jose goes above and beyond to get you the best price for the repair. I have an '96 Audi A4 and don't want to put too much (more) money into it, so on two occasions he found me really inexpensive after-market/used products that work like new and were so much less than the new parts everyone else wanted to put in my car. Thanks Jose!

Jose is fantastic. He is honest, reliable and genuinely cares about providing good service and doing a great job. As a female I am wary of mechanics, but Jose treats me exactly the same as any other customer, so I implicitly trust him when he tells me what needs to be done. He always clearly explains the issue and what should be done to fix it. He has done little things for free, for example running a diagnostic to see why the check engine light is on. Try getting that from a dealer! I dread the day I sell my old Audi and have to use a dealer or a different mechanic.

Jose and his staff do a great job in their niche. Jose was one of the top- qualified Audi Master Mechanics in the whole of the USA when he used to work within the Audi of America and Porsche NA dealer network, and he continues to use his skills to run his own shop. While I'm a loyal customer and now a friend of his, I do keep my standards incredibly high when it comes to honesty and the integrity that is often hard to find with a mechanic. I have watched, for a few years now, his interactions with other customers. Based on the experiences I've had with him, the experiences of the people I've referred to him over the years, and the interactions I've watched between him and other customers while I'm around the shop, I believe him to be an honest man who really values hard work. First and foremost, if he makes a mistake, he will own up to it and use his resources to fix it. Secondly, I have been around for many women customers and he isn't the sort of person to allow a customer's gender, or lack of knowledge to affect his diagnosis, pricing, or service in general. As well, his wife is around the shop almost daily, and he's a family man, which typically assuages those 'how does my mechanic treat women' concerns that many of us have. Anyway, Euro-Tech is a great option for Audi/VW/Porsche and the occasional other German auto repairs and maintenance. While he might not be the cheapest option, you will be taken care of properly and you know that you're dealing with a well established shop.

The owner, Jose, is a 20+ year veteran of Audi/Porsche. He worked for Rusnak Audi, Porsche for years before opening his own shop. To say he is an Audi expert is an understatement. The first time I needed him was an emergency. My cooling system crapped out on my morning commute. There was water everywhere. I had heard about Euro Tech from a friend and since they were close had it towed there. I was in by 8:30 and he fixed EVERYTHING that was wrong with my car by the end of the day. Also he didn't charge me for all the labor needed to figure out what the problem was exactly. Jose doesn't like to advertise widely since he likes to have the time to work with the cars and its a small shop. This shop is strictly Porche and Audi. I can take my VW Jetta there, but that is because I am a veteran customer who was grandfathered in when he changed to his no NEW VW customer policy. The guys at the shop work quick and neat, he has even done stuff for me for free like change a tire, drain some oil when I over filled it and change a vacuum hose. Overall he knows how to keep his customers happy thus keeping them from coming back. Sometimes I'll stop by, tell him what kind of problem I have and, with out asking, he breaks out his computer and hooks it up to my car to see what is going on. He doesn't even charge me. I highly recommend Euro Tech Motors if you live in the Los Angeles area. You get an impression of a true "specialist" shop.

They are a more than competent operation. Arti and Jose have made owning the incredibly maintenance heavy Audi a much more pleasurable experience. They fix it right the first time and explain what they are doing and why. The have fixed minor things free including fixing a gaff I had with my spoiler because my Audi sat lower than I was accustomed to. Bottom line: Take your Audi there instead of the dealer unless Jose tells you otherwise.
