Owner Terry Griffin and mechanics James and Kato have worked
on two VWs of mine for over three years now. They are extremely
knowledgeable and have recommended timelines for other
maintanence and repair issues. They do quality work but I didn't
pay that much more for it, certainly not what dealers charge. Terry
told me how much he paid for the parts that were needed. Most
importantly, I trust them.

Excellent performance work. They used to take more time
than promised because Terry would always do a minor thing
ASAP. They've recently taken over a larger space down the
street, in addition to the old one, which has pretty much
got rid of the time overrun issue. Hourly rate is on par
with other high quality shops in the S.F. Bay area.

I wanted to learn how to change my own fuel filter, and
James took an hour to walk me through the entire thing. They
are all extremely competent, understanding and fun and they
get the job done honestly and quickly. When I needed my
tires replaced, Terry pointed out a web site where they had
great tires for much less than other places and I bought the
tires online, had them shipped put on in no time. I saved
at least $200. They have all the new machinery too, I
definitely feel my car is in good hands.

Terry Griffin (shop owner) is gruff, but a good guy. His
shop does great work, even with complicated problems. They
are willing to do everything from basic preventive
maintenance to major work on custom cars.
The only serious knock on them is that their prices are a
bit steep. However, it is often true that you get what you
pay for, and they live up to that saying in my book.
