Art's is the best--they are always courteous, honest, and
completely trustworthy.

Art's is fantastic. We have been using them for five plus
years for a Honda Civic and a Subaru Outback wagon. They
have always done excellent work, are reasonably priced, and
communicate well about work that needs to be done. Overall,
we've had excellent experiences with Art's and recommend
them highly.

I went to these guys with several problems which nobody, including the local Honda dealer/mechanic would even look at for less than $200. I had clutch problems, fuel injector, acceleration and power problems etc. They could have told me I needed a new clutch, any number of things, and I probably would have believed them. Instead, they fixed everything for $150!!!!!! I was so happy, I sent them cookies. When it comes to not fixing things that don't need to be fixed- these guys rock. I'm recommending them to all my friends- and- I found them right here on the click and clack website!

They were VERY helpful, especially over the phone which a lot of repair shops aren't (most settle for "just bring it in"). They installed a "gimmicky" part for me after reviewing and going over the best alternatives and everything worked out great. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I've been using Art's for nearly 18 years -- as long as my marriage. I have to say that everything that the other reviewers have said is dead on. We tend to keep our cars for a long time and regular maintenance and good prophylactic advice about repairs have kept them running. My 91' Integra is pushing 180k and runs like clockwork -- It's hard to think about trading it in only to face sticker shock and monthly payments when an occasional routine maintenance keeps it running like new. I've never found Art to recommend doing anything unnecessary. Quite the opposite. Many times I've heard him counseling customers on how to manage the costs of repairs so that they stay within budget. How many people can say that about their autoshop.

If only Art's would open a store on the East Coast! I
moved back to Maryland in 2002 and have yet to find
mechanics of the same outstanding level of competence and
honesty. Not only would Art, Lute, and Paul spend the
extra time to explain things when I brought my car in or
called with a problem, they were even generous enough to
give me some advice long distance after I moved! (And,
refer me to this website!)
