What I know about cars consists of the fact that "internal combustion" is just a pleasant way of saying "powerful contained explosions 4 feet from YOUR feet". These folks notice problems but always contact and explain before doing additional work. I have expressed concerns (do I need new shocks?, what is this new engine vibration?) that could easily have left me open for a creaming; I'm still riding around on those shocks and the vibration was due to a slight deterioration of the rubber mounts that has caused no harm. Excellent karma, too; my wife's Saturn broke its timing belt while she was at the station for gas! I honestly don't know how reasonable their prices are, once we found them we stopped going to any other garage. I do know that I feel safe in the vehicles they have worked on for us.

I took my cars to these guys for years. Pricey, but good service. Or so I thought, until I made the huge mistake of buying a "certified" used car from them. What a lemon!!! I put close to $3000 within a year into a car they said they checked out thoroughly. They didn't. It was a junker. I had to threaten to sue them in a letter after verbal complaints and THEN they gave me $700 to shut me up. I would NEVER recommend them again, and WOULD NEVER buy a car from them. Apparently, even though they sell lots of used vehicles, they are not licensed as a dealer, as I later found out.
