A friend recommended Dave at Back to Basic to me a couple of months ago. I've been living in Phoenix for almost 6 years and hadn't found a permanent mechanic. After two visits, I won't be going to anyone but Back to Basic anymore.

100% trustworthy, competent, accommodating, reasonably priced ...I have taken cars there for 10 years and never been disappointed ... I won't buy a used car without going to B2B for a thorough inspection ...they have saved me countless $$ at the frontend, and have squeezed tons of extra miles out of my 2001 Honda, 2003 Toyota and several other vehicles over the years

I have been going to this shop for the last 20+ years, they always done me right. I once lived in their area, downtown Phoenix. It was not a safe part of town at the time, but the city has really clean up the area. I no longer live near them but I always go back to them and will keep doing so. I always go to them for oil change and have them check my tires and breaks. They always call me first to inform me on what needs to be done and any problems that they may find. They have always answered any questions that I might have on any thing. A few years ago they gave me a t-shirt with their logo on it. I will be going back to them as long as I live.

Save me a bunch of money. Had a rattle noise coming from under my 1999 Chev Astro van, but not from the engine compartment even with the hood open. Didn't know what to think of it. It turned out to be the catalytic converter was falling apart and they replaced it with a new one for $215. A Chev dealer in town told me it would cost me about $750+ for them to fix it.
