This shop is a pleasure to visit! These folks are a caring, friendly, highly efficient team who treat everyone who comes through their doors with unflagging cheerful patience, respect, honesty and grace. I was especially impressed by the diagnostic skills of the mechanics and by the exceptionally clear and non-patronizing show-and-tell explanation of what was ailing my vehicle. And what the options were for repairs. I was in awe of the ability of the front-desk people to work with both the customers and the mechanics and parts suppliers so everything came together quicker than i've ever seen, under the estimate, and done right the first time. I'm so happy with this shop (full service auto, truck and RV repair)that after more than 20 years of searching i've finally found a great new automotive home. They really listened to what i needed in terms of scheduling and what my priorities for repairs were and what i could afford. They worked both with me and for me with skill and care, and they were generous with their time and with their billing. As a customer(female)i felt respected and not ever even slightly talked down to. And I felt that my participation in the process was valued at every level. I noticed they've got a large and loyal following, so it's best if you can call ahead to schedule an appointment.

I have lived in Flagstaff 20 years and own 3 cars - I have used many of the shops in town - most are honest - some are not. These guys are always honest and reliable. I recommend them to friends and trust them completely.

My check engine light had come on, and I went in to have it diagnosed. There was some sort of leak in the gas pressure system. I'm not really clear on the terminology. But they did the cheap fix first- a new gas cap. They let me know that if the light came back on, they'd do the more expensive diagnostic test of running smoke through things to find out where the leak is, but that it wasn't exactly crucial to run my car, it wouldn't affect the drivability, just the environment. Turns out I just needed a gas cap. Haven't had a problem with that since then. I'm very happy with the service there, they are friendly, knowledgeable, prompt and courteous.

I've been taking my vehicles to Accu-Brake for almost 7 years. The quality, price, and timeliness of their work is absolutely unsurpassed. Small jobs, big jobs...always the same results. They've done everything from oil changes, brake jobs, bearing and seal repairs to a complete engine, radiator, and clutch replacement on my truck. Most recently, they replaced the thermostat housing on my 2008 Mini Cooper at great savings, as compared to the dealership. (if you think that's an easy job, check it out on YouTube). In less than a day, I was back on the road with everything working perfectly. They have the skill and expertise to work on old AND new vehicles; a capability that few independent shops have with any degree of success. You can take your vehicle to Accu-Brake for repairs with complete confidence. They will do only what is required and WILL NOT charge you for work not done...they do not use the "flat rate" book like so many other shops do. You can trust Jim and John to take the very best care of you and your vehicle. They are the BEST.

Honest to a fault : ) Recently, my 2008 MiniCooper had an intermittent engine warning light, trouble starting, and poor engine performance. AccuBrake diagnosed the problem and determined that my high pressure fuel pump was defective. They could have done the repair themselves, but instead, they researched the problem and discovered that the defect was covered by a dealership extended warranty, a warranty I wasn't aware of, and that the repair had to be done by a Mini dealer. So, Jim and John gave me the information and recommended I take the car to an authorized Mini dealer for repair. It's been my experience that most other repair shops would not have taken the time to discover the warranty protection for this particular issue and I would have had to pay the repair bill. I bow to Jim's and John's initiative and integrity. AccuBrake has a sign posted in their lobby that describes the difference between Professional Diagnostics vs Basic Code Retrieval. Jim and John "live" by these standards. I believe that most other repair shops would have gone no further than the basic code retrieval, and certainly NOT given me information that ultimately cost them repair money. I've been taking my vehicles to AccuBrake for the past 7 years for minor AND major repairs. The experience I've described in this review has been a consistent, recurring theme. Thanks Jim and John.

I've been taking my vehicles to Accu-Brake for almost 13 years. The quality, price, and timeliness of their work is absolutely unsurpassed. Small jobs, big jobs...always the same results. They've done everything from oil changes, brake jobs, bearing and seal repairs to a complete engine, radiator, and clutch replacement on my 1978 F-150. I'm always hesitant to have complex, specialized repairs done at independent shops, but not with AccuBrake. They recently replaced the turbos on my 2008 F-250, a job that requires the cab to be lifted. They did the job professionally and the truck runs great. They also recently replaced both of my thermostats. That's a five hour job that was, again, completed professionally and on-time. As you can see, you can take your vehicle to Accu-Brake for the most complicated repairs with complete confidence. Jim, John and Jake are automotive experts and they will take the very best care of you and your vehicle. They are the BEST. I took one of my vehicles to another shop for a throttle body fuel injection installation because I was told the shop was the best in town for that particular task. That was a BIG mistake. A job that was supposed to cost about $2000 ended up costing $4600!!!!....and, when I got the truck back, the grounding wire for the fuel pump was only connected with an alligator clip, one of the clamps on the fuel line was never tightened, causing a serious fuel leak and the brackets for both exhaust pipes were not reconnected and the pipes were hanging unsupported. They had to change the gear ring in my flywheel. The supervisor told me that the young tech worked hours trying to install the ring and eventually gave up. The supervisor told me that he got installed in 20 minutes. Yet, they still charged me $1200 in labor for that one task. Additionally, throttle was so sensitive that it is very difficult to move forward without spinning the wheels. When I complained about the problem, the shop supervisor told me that I'd just have to get used to it!!! So, why tell this story about another repair facility in a review for ACCUBRAKE? Simply, because ACCUBRAKE is tried and proven. I would have NEVER gotten this type of service from ACCUBRAKE and shouldn't have strayed away. They've worked on all of my vehicles; old and new, foreign and domestic with the same flawless results. There might be other competent shops in town, but can't get better than what ACCUBRAKE has to offer.
