Larry was incredible. My wife had first contact with Larry when her Taurus had transmission troubles. She was looking to find a reasonable and honest as well as competent mechanic while seeking bids for the jobs from several different sources. These bids ranged from expensive to outrageous from all her previous source until a girlfriend of my wife recommended that we see Larry. Her friend claimed that Larry had done her transmission on the same car a few weeks ago. She told us that Larry would explain our options to us and the cost of each option. My wife approached Larry and he performed just as my wife's friend had stated. Explaining everything clearly to my wife so that she could make an educated decision. The cost of the repair was so reasonable that I felt like we were taking advantage of Larry. But he said that was all it cost. We saved between seven hundred and eleven hundreds dollars using Larry as opposed to the other bids. Plus Larry check over the entire car at no additional cost and I believe that he performed some small minor repairs at little or no cost that needed to be done. Larry also repaired my '87 Caddillac Cimmaron that had been knocking on death's door with both hands. Although it would have cost me and the next four generations of my family our entire lives' earnings at any mechanic, Larry raised my heap's health enough so that it is now a "prayer car" instead of a push car. (Prayer car is a car that you must pray with the hope that the car makes it to the next destination.) I drove it from Maine to North Carolina and I have enough faith to believe that it will make it back. Larry told me what really needed to be fixed to keep it running but he also said that it is time to start looking around because the car will soon become a money pit. My total cost of repair was well below five hundred dollars (opposed to the fifteen hundred others had quoted) and the car has never ran as well as it runs now. However, I will heed Larry's advice about buying another because I really appreciate Larry's direct, honest and friendly opinion.
