John has always treated us great, even delivered my car to me once after he fixed it. Tells you when to keep an eye on things, like "tires will last you for another 1000miles or so, but start thinking about some new ones" he doesn't hit you with any surprises.

John and his assistants work harder than anyone I know. They have never failed me. Whether I need a new engine or a new inspection sticker, they greet me and treat me as a friend. His shop is definitely off the beaten path (at the end of Prout Road on Chipmunk Lane--really!) but well worth it. Once when he was unable to get my car ready on time, he came to my house and drove me to my son's preschool to pick him up. You will love this guy.

John and his crew have pulled me out of more than a few tight spots when I needed my truck now and it was not moving. Going the extra few miles is Johns normal mode of operations. He is a true community guy that never says no. He always keeps the bill down if he can. the best deal in town.

John and the guys at his garage are a life saver. While they can sometimes be busy and backed up when looking to get your car in, it's for good reason. They'll get your vehicle running and back on the road, no nonsense. They won't try to sell you things you don't need and will recommend the least expensive, most practical fix. Most recently AAA garage in Portland on Marginal quoted me at $900 MINIMUM to get my car to pass inspection (almost half the value of the car itself!). John got it done for less than 1/3 of that price. It's hard to find a good, honest, straight shooting mechanic and John is indeed all of the above.
