Three generations of honest, competent mechanics. Excellent diagnosticians. Their garage may look like something out of the fifties, but the their skills are up to date. Only their work ethic is old fashioned. I have often saved $100 or more vs other shop estimates. The only down side is that, barring emergencies, it usually takes 2-3 weeks to get in for routine maintenance. However, they do walk-in state inspections at 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM daily. They do used car inspections for established customers at no cost. As aa retired director of aircraft maintenance with high standards, I and many of my former associates have made Cowan's Service Station our go-to place for light to medium automotive work for many years.

They are very honest! They will undo anything that does not work....they will not give you a bill until they are satisfied that the work is the best possible job! Their prices are reasonable. They are friendly, often fix minor things and do not even charge for them. Great people1

Used them for years. Always responsible and honest. They do a thorough job on inspections (Thurs afternoon only) for their regular customers...not sure they do inspections for other customers. The only down side with this shop is that you usually must wait about two weeks for an appointment.

A gas and service station run by one family for over 50 years. Service provided goes from an oil change up to and including major engine work. They normally refer you to a local transmission shop for big jobs in this area. Perfect example of this stations commitment to the customer. I had it in for a fuel filter and some other small doing that they also checked the fluids as a courtesy and topped off my oil with a 1/2 qt of 10- 30...Upon telling them I ran full synthetic (Amzoil no less) they offered to replace my 7quarts of Amzoil and filter for their mess up (even though they couldn't have known) I declined their offer but will forever remember their sincere and unsolicited offer.
