Tom knows VW''s and is always honest and helps you decide what MUST be done and what can wait.. If he see''s a failure that is covered by warranty he tells you.. The honest part is,, he could just fix the problem at HIS shop and pocket the $$$, but he chooses to inform his customers instead of ripping them off.! I always walk out satisfied...

Tom and the guys have taken care of my Jetta TDi for the last five years. I'm now moving from the area and am going to miss Wheaton Service Center. Does anyone ever say they are going to miss his/her mechanic? Well, they are that good.

I learned about Wheaton Auto Repair from another VW owning friend and boy am I glad I mentioned my car troubles in passing to him b/c they've been a non-issue ever since. I was getting gutted at the dealer for even the simplest fixes. Coming to WAR significantly lowered my costs and raised my understanding of what was going on with my car (apparently dealers think a chick can't understand basic maintenance issues even in layman's terms). And then when I had to prep my car to drive to Los Angeles from Washington, DC, WAR fixed everything needed for the trip. Here's the best part:I had to fix my air conditioner so I didn't melt sitting in the infamous LA traffic. After they gave me one quote I was called back the next day. They got a better deal than expected on my air compressor and was lowering my bill to reflect the savings. Who does that??!!! Who doesn't just go, "Awesome, more money for me"?? Wheaton Auto Repair. And they told me if I ran into any shady repair people in LA, where they are actually grown in fields in bushels, to call them up and they would call the mechanic and grill him for me. I begged and begged them to move to LA but for some reason they just wouldn't pick up and move for me. Damn.

I am SO glad to have found a VW shop in which I have 100% trust! In fact, I am delaying getting a new VW because I want to deal with Wheaton Service Center and not a dealer.I could repeat every good thing you have read here.

I called 4:30 on a Friday when my VW Golf failed inspection - Tom told me to come on in the next morning. The (very!!) minor repair took about 15 minutes, and he didn't charge me. I'd called the dealer for a quote, and they said two days, $300. Smart move on Tom's part - now I'm definitely going to Wheaton with all my car problems!

Honest, Honest, Honest! And they know their VWs. I can't recommend them highly enough. Even after moving a decent distance from them, I still go to them for all my service.
