A coworker turned me on to Certified Auto Repair when I
wanted a garage convenient to my work commute. Certified
has maintained and repaired my cars since 1995, these
being a Dodge Aries, Ford Taurus, Toyota Sienna, and Volvo
S70. Located two blocks from the Rockville Metro station,
I drop off on the way to work and pick up on the way
home. The shop actually repairs things that dealers say
must be replaced. Costs are typically 2/3 to 3/4
dealership costs, and he has advised me not to do uneeded
work--any shop that advises against work that could easily
pad the bill has proven its honesty to me.
On a personal note, Greg, the owner, once called me at
home on a weekend to find out what was going on with my
Ford, because the message I'd left suggested a safety
issue. Once I had to take a cab home because my car was
locked in the garage after closing (instead of where he
it's usually put for after-hours pickup. Greg paid my cab
fare.
I addition to my experience, check Washington Consumer
Checkbook magazine, which has listed Certified as a top DC-
area garage for quality and price for many consecutive
years.

I love them! They - especially Greg but also Steve and the
rest - take the time to explain, check, and re-assure. They
are fair about price and don't try to sell me unnecessary
crap. The atmosphere is inviting, everyone is in a good mood
(and if not - I don't feel it). The bays are clean, and they
have a lot of space to maneuver the cars and keep them safe.
They have fun car books to look at while you wait, too!
I warmly recommend this shop.

- Infiniti for ever
LOVE them! Dave, Greg and Iris make you feel so welcome and look into everything. Greg saved me a lot of money, telling me I dont need stuff or fixing stuff the old fashioned way: a tap here, a tweak there, no need to call in the electronic cavalry.
I will go there again and again - and I recommend it to everyone!
