I came to Scandinavian with a rattling noise I had been
unable to fix, despite spending $2000 over four visits to
two other shops (including a dealership). Scandinavian
figured out what was actually wrong in less than an hour and
fixed it for a couple hundred dollars. I'm a fan!

I've been very happy with Scandinavian. They're very
competent, their prices for major work are consistently
25-35% lower than the dealer's, and if something doesn't
need to be done, they tell you. The few times they've been
wrong about something, they've admitted it and fixed the
problem. The location isn't exactly scenic, but the
facility itself is nice. I do wish they would stay open a
bit later for pick ups (especially since their shuttle
service from the metro can take a while), but that's a small
price pay for the otherwise excellent service.

I couldn't agree more with comment #58576. After 4 years
of taking my "baby" to VOB, I finally found this shop.
BTW - it took me 2 years to convince VOB that my baby (2004
9.3 convertible) needed a new engine. I am totally car
ignorant, but when your car drinks a gallon of coolant a
month and your oil consistently has the consistency of
water, something is wrong! She is fine now, and we will
grow old together thanks to my new shop. They tell you
what needs to be fixed and what doesn't -- when it comes to
those Xenon headlights, that's a big savings! They're
friendly, timely, and I know my car will be well taken care
of there.

I bought the used car of my dreams, 97 Saab Convertible and
for the first couple of years took it to VOB Dealership for
service -- OH MY WHAT A MISTAKE. After overpaying for
underperformance I found Scandanavian Motors on one of the
Saab Geek web sites and felt like I'd gone to heaven.
Courteous, thoughtful, affordable, timely, patient with
questions, easy with answers, kind and best off all, they
make my 97 run like she did when she first rolled off the
floor (or at least how I imagine since I bought it used). I
have no talent with cars - I just love that Saab drop top -
so I need a good mechanic. At Scandanavian Motors I found
just that. You will too. Swede/Sven.

Been a customer since the late 80's. Owned both Saabs and
Volvos of different ages. Always have my factory
recommended service intervals done. Very honest, easy to
work with and only do what is necessary to repair. Their
hourly book rates are quite less than a dealership, I
assume do to the lower overhead, without sacrificing
quality. They use only origional equipment parts.

They have been our sole mechanics (other than new car
warranty work) for all of our Volvos and Saabs for over 20
years. We have never been disappointed with their
performance; they have our highest recommendation.

I have used this shop for over 20 years and have bought 3
used cars from them. More testimony, the same mechanics
and service writers have been there for most of these years!

I have had both Saabs and Volvos serviced there for over
20 years. The owner is the same and the staff is pretty
much the same. These are very honest, competent people
who will tell you what really needs to be done and what
can be deferred until a later appointment. The repair
quality is excellent. Their only weekness is an
occasional failure to service the car in one day. If it's
a big job, I always make sure I can do without the car for
2 days just to be safe.

We were first introduced by a friend who had purchased a
used Saab. We also have now over the past 8 years purchased
3 used Saabs (two we have given to our children).
The used cars are guaranteed - and most reliable.
The service is exceptional. Only complaint is that service
is not available on Saturdays.
We have found them to be most reliable. They are off the
beaten path a bit - but now in a new beautiful facility
(although the old facility had charm).
Located near the red line - and they provide a driver to
pick you up at the red line (very convenient).
