Andy Peter, a certified and smart mechanic has worked on my
family cars for 25 years. He's diagnosed and fixed our Honda,
Audi, Mercedes, Jetta and Ford quickly and at a very reasonable
price. When he thinks he won't be effective he refers to the dealer
but I'd rather have him fix my car than anyone else. He even found
the answer to an electrical problem which stumped Tom and Ray
Maliazzi, the Car Talk guys.

Marc and his associates (Andy Peter and Gregg Wayson) run a polite and very clean shop. They are very busy and appear to have many regular customers. Nevertheless, they are personally open/approachable and will take the time to explain their findings, if you ask. They are also unafraid to tell you when they are unsure of a problem, recommend seeking a second opinion, or offer a cheaper/simpler alternative if available.

Andy has taken care of all of our cars for years, including our Corolla, Grand Voyager van, and Mustang. He is familiar with recalls on many makes and will recommend taking the vehicle to a dealer if he knows of a recall, or if he thinks the problem might be covered under warranty. He is honest and takes the time to thoroughly explain things if asked. If he thinks the repair cost isn't in proportion to the benefit, he'll tell you and let you make the decision. The bill is always reasonable. I hope he never retires!

I am very happy to have found Andy Peter through your web
site. At long last I have an honest mechanic who does very
good work, does not suggest unneeded addditonal services
and, compared to others, charges reasonable prices.
A funny story...once, a few days after having my car
serviced at Crownsville Automotive, I noticed a small pool
of oil on my garage floor. I took my car back to
Crownsville and Andy put my car up on the rack to inspect
it. He, with the help of others in his shop, could not find
any fluid leaks. And then, using powerful search lights
they showed me that the underside of my car was absolutely
dry. We were all perplexed. At home a few days later, I
remembered that my daughter had left her car with me for a
couple of days and, that I had parked her car in my garage
in the space where I usually park my own car. I went back
to Crownsville Automotive to tell Andy that I had solved
the problem and we both had a good laugh about the
incident. That evening I called my daughter to tell her
that her car was leaking oil.

The owner, Andy is a great person; always willing to
accomodate the customer. I highly recommend his shop. I'm
moving and regret he will be out of range.
Thanks
