They were helpful, information, upfront, and even urged me not to have something repaired right away, to see if the problem would go away on its own. They picked me up and took me to the shop once the repair was done so I didn't have to wait until Monday to get the car. (They don't work weekends. Neither do I.) Big, clean shop, safe neighborhood. And I found out I knew the owner's cousin! The needed work was expensive, but I got a good mechanic out of it.

The guys who work here are great. They are VERY honest. I've been told by dealers and other qwik-e-lube&empty-yo- wallet chains that I need xyz repaired for several hundred dollars. I come to Sherwood and they tell me which repairs I need and which I don't. In the process over the years, they've saved me about $1,000 on avoiding repairs that other places have recommended but were not really needed at all.

These guys are totally honest, respectful, and friendly. I have a 95 Nissan Sentra, and they have been taking care of us since I got it. They never perform or charge for unnecessary labor, and have never kept my car for longer than one business day, no matter how much work was needed. The neighborhood isn't fabulous, but it's pretty good for Baltimore, and nothing has ever happened to my car while in the lot. I highly recommend them!

George, I believe the owner of the shop, was very honest and did hassle me. As a woman, I'm usually on my toes and ready to get haggled by any mechanic. However, I was happily surprised when George was kind enough to explain everything that needed to be fixed in detail. There was also plenty of opportunity for him to overcharge or to convince me I needed an additional part, but he didn't. All in all, I am extremely content with the kind service and attention given at Sherwood Auto.

I brought my Toyota truck to their shop. George has been there every time, and is good-humored as well as business-like; he's not going to waste time. I was disappointed when he wouldn't consider using any parts other than factory (they're much more expensive), but I understand & respect the shop's policy, as I ordered some parts online and have often had to return them, even though the part said it was an exact fit (the online vendor covered the shipping costs). So, I had to get my A/C repaired elsewhere.
