I'm so glad I found this place. Everyone in town must go to them. I arrived on a Monday morning w/o a scheduled appt and they already had a counter full of orders, yet they turned my car around in less than 2 hrs for only $41.00. They're not 100% sure they fixed the problem because they couldn't duplicate it, but what they did do made sense and I haven't had any further problem. An unscrupulous garage could have easily charged me hundreds more. They were also pleasant. They have a nice area to sit and wait. Just a nice place to go. They are centrally located so you could have a friend drop you off and pick you up. There's also a town taxi service you can call. Highly recommended.

Andy Brooks runs a general repair and towing garage in a North Central Massachusetts mill town. Reasonable rates, will accommodate customers who need to drop off / pick up early or late, and is all-around competent. But in 30 years of car ownership I've never met a more honest shop owner and mechanic. Brooks takes responsibility for the work they've done, give you ALL the options (even the cheap ones!) and "re-fix" it if, on the rare occasion, they screw something up. When I leave my car there I'm always sure I won't come out feeling like I have to worry about bad estimates, bad work, over-spending without asking, etc. The best general auto shop I've ever worked with.
