Jeff Boucher is a very knowledgale, competent, experienced mechanic. He has built up his clientel over the years through word of mouth. Initially, he worked at the now defunct Bugtown, specializing in Bugs. He took over Dave's 4 Cylinder Service when the previous owner past away. Since then he has taken classes is many certification course for many varieties of automobiles and has for many years worked on mos tmakes and models of cars. He is fair and honest almost to a fault, often doing more work than he charges for. I may be moving ato the west coast and am contemplating driving across country so he can continue to work on my car. He's kept many a heap running and saved me in several crises. Check him out, you'll never want to go anywhere else again, and if you're looking for a used car, he is in that business too -and he always stands behind his work.

I agree with everything the first reviwer said. My '87 Subaru was on it's deathbed last year, the engine very close to expiring. When the engine did quit, Jeff and I discussed several options. Jeff was aware of how important it was to me that the solution to this be one that would last, but not break my bank account. We decided on finding a low-mileage engine to replace the old one. This was done, and a year and a half later, my '87 Subaru is still going strong. The price was right and after this event, I trust Jeff and the guys down at 4-Cylindar completely.

Jeff is always upfront and forthright. He has never charged me more then I thought it was worth. He seems to always be there, even late hours. I hate to boast about him too much in fear that he will be so busy with new customers he won't accomadate me anymore. Also bring him the wife "89" (Lemon) Taurus wagon. He is about 1 mile away which makes him extremely convient.

I originally took a car to Dave's 4-Cylindar after having a lot of trouble with some other shops in the area. Jeff had the car repaired at a reasonable price in no time. He explained the problem and options (lower and higher cost) clearly before proceeding with any work. I have taken my aging cars to Jeff several times now and have been happy with the service and the price every time.

Great husband and wife-run business. Always helpful and honest. My first repair was a protective muffler cover that fell off. The Nissan dealership probably would have had me replace the muffler, but the owner Jeff did a quick repair for me for $25! So I took the car back for a 60K service and then to have four new tires put on. All went very smoothly - I have no complaints and only good things to say!

I've been taking my cars to Dave's 4 Cylinder since 1981. Dave had recently passed on due to cancer and Jeff took over the business. After all these years I still know Jeff's last name, but he has always done the right thing by me. He may take a little time to get to my car, but this is because he is in such high demand. It is worth it to me to leave my car for a day or so when I know the job will get done well and for a fair price.

Jeff has always been very honest regarding what is needed. I had my van into a dealership (only because they had the parts for a certain repair). They told me I needed rear brakes and a muffler + catalytic converter. Jeff pulled the wheels and determined that the brakes were fine; also figured out how to replace the muffler without replacing the catalytic converter. Saved big dollars over what the dealership wanted to charge.

I have been bringing my cars to Dave's 4 Cylindar for 10 years. One day, my 97 Ford that Jeff (the owner) worked on many times, always trying to save me some money, died suddenly at my workplace parking lot. Jeff came over to give it the last rights. Knowing that I lived out of town and that I needed another new-used car right away, he lent me his wife's 96 Toyota wagon (great car). On top of that, he checked out my next vehicle and test drove it before he gave me a thumbs up, never charging me for his time or use of his vehicle.
