The guys at Pitman Street have worked on our sad old car several times and kept it safely on the road when most people would have junked it. They've never treated us like losers because we couldn't buy a new car. Now that we're actively looking for a newer car they've been really helpful and passed on some great advice about makes of car - which is way beyond anything they "have" to do. They're great. I wouldn't go anywhere else now.

Please note that Streewise at 59 Pitman St. is the same operation as at 371 Beacon St. The latter location is a former gas station and they do lighter repairs including exhaust systems, alternators, and oil changes there. My wife also goes to Streetwise and gets treated very fairly. It's a very small owner-operated shop, with very personal service.

They charged about half of what the Jeep service center was planning to charge -- for the same exact thing! Great guys!

They diagnose, make priorities, always ask for permission to go ahead, and offer good advice and suggestions. "Taking the car to the shop" is a painless, and, as it should be, worthwhile experience. Pleasant and informative crew. After servicing an old car for me, I brought my new! vehicle straight to them. 18 years later, we'll all going strong.

These folks are always friendly and straightforward. Over
the past 10 years I've had two used cars that made frequent
visits there, and I'm about to bring my brand new car there
because I trust them more than the dealer.

If you want what I want, some real honest guys working on your car, this is
the place for you. And they have a cute (and competent) woman working the
counter(and she wouldn't mind this comment, I hope, as she has a great
sense of humor).
