Dave is exceptionally thorough, competent and knowledgeable. I wanted my Honda's headlights to be on whenever the engine is running, as in Europe and Canada. The local dealer wouldn't/couldn't do it. When I asked around, several people said that was trickier than it sounded and suggested Dave Dow. He called up my car's schematic wiring diagram on his computer, printed it out, spent some time thinking through what he wanted to do, and thinking out all the ramifications, then explained carefully to me what he proposed doing, showing me on the diagram, all before doing anything. What he'd planned worked perfectly. I've taken the car to him

Dave's Parkway Mobil comes highly recommended. Wonderful mechanic who really tells you what's going on and gives you all the options. Shame I'm moving out of the area soon - I'll use this website again, given how good it was in directing me to Dave's. Oh, and he doesn't treat my wife like an idiot either, which is refreshing with some car mechanics.

Garage is at an Exxon gas station open 24 hours a day. So it was easy to drop the car off and pick it up and pay late after work. Dave, the Service Manager, answered the questions I had without BSing me (I am knowledgable enough about cars to avoid nearly all the BS attempts I hear). Also, his price was $80 than the $260 estimate the Firestone garage in Quincy gave me for the same repair; and he used a higher quality replacement part! 1 problem: when I picked the car up, there was substantial grease on the outside-top of the door, steering wheel, and gear shift. Not acceptable!! Dave agreed, apologized, and financially compensated me for the blunder. In his 'defense', it was the end-of and begining- of the month time frame after New Orleans flooded causing 'gas hysteria'.

Dave is the best mechanic I have ever had work on my car. I moved to Quincy, Massachusetts several years ago from the mid-west, and did not know anyone. When I took my car to him to have an oil change he pointed out some problems to me and asked if I still had a warranty on my car so I could take it to a Ford Dealership. His honesty was like a breath of fresh air. Dave is not only a very intelligent person with an engineering background, but also honest and a true sweetheart. I had to move recently to another state which was incredibly sad, but I will always remember Dave and all of his kindness and great service he gave to me. I wish him all the success in the world and hope our paths cross again one day.
