Couldn't agree more with the other comments. If bob can't fix it, he will tell you, or if it needs the dealership's help, he will tell you that, too. Been a small family run business for probably 50 years, his dad started it long ago. Made a reputation for honesty and fair prices, and his son, Bob, does it, too. Right on the bus line to Sullivan Square - Orange Line. Worked on my cars, my brother's cars, and even my dad's cars. If he can't mend it, he won't bend it. lol.

Bob Libbey is a miracle. If I hadn't met him for myself, I wouldn't believe he exists. Extremely competent, honest, and most importantly extremely reasonably priced. He didn't even laugh at me after he ran a diagnostic only to determine my check engine light was on b/c of a loose gas cap...well maybe a little bit. Great guy, great service. The shop is set back and a little hard to find. It isn't very close to the T, but there is an Enterprise car rental down the street and I'm sure there are buses.

I had a car inspected previous to buying it. Bob Libbey explained everything carefully - and was more picky than I was! Great service, great price, great work!

The owner is a very honest person. He gives very good advice, especially for people who are trying to keep an older car going (he may give great advice to new car owners, too, we just haven't been in that situation yet). Highly recommend this shop!

My daughter's Jeep overheated and she took it to Libbey's. They gave her an estimate along with an explanation of what happened and what it needed. When she picked it up, they explained what they did, she said, "so even I could understand it." Happy Dad from 600 miles away.
