Didn't do any unnecessary work. Suggested work to be done next time I cam in, at 100K miles.

They kept our dodge caravan running for 220,000 miles. We were always amazed at how quickly they serviced our vehicles and how reasonably priced their service is. whenever we had an emergency repair, they took care of it as quickly as possible.

Mike Halas at Halas Service Center is a prince, if at times a little gruff until you get to know him -- but he's a character. Ask him about Greece sometime. I have brought several vehicles to Mike over the years having no idea what the problem was. On any number of occasions, he could have told me anything but the majority of times, it's proven to be something minor and inexpensive. He is also good about recommending that I wait, for example, if he finds something during routine inspection, he'll give an honest appraisal as to whether it's something that needs to be addresses immediately or if it can wait. The bigger jobs like front-end work, and engine matters always seem more than fairly priced and beat other shops I have tried in the Acton-Boxboro-Maynard area and his prices for normal wear and tear stuff like brakes, shocks, and exhaust always beat the chains like Midas and Meineke.
