This garage is located smack in the middle of rural Western Mass and is owned and operated by Jack who lives right next door. As soon as you see him, you'll know that this guy eats, lives, breathes, and smokes auto machanics. German cars are his specialty. Jack's taciturn nature makes him seem grumpy. But he runs one of the most honest businesses I've ever known. If you're not too pushy and let him do his work his way, you'll probably find that he's the best and fairest mechanic you've ever encountered. I still take my car to him even though I now live almost 3 hours away from his shop. Tip: If you surprise him with a six pack, he might well see his way to bumping you up in his schedule to priority #1.

He quite fits the previous reviewers description. I took my girlfriend's 95 Buick Skylark to Midas before this because the car started to overheat after we got it back from the Monroe shop for work on the power steering. We had tried to change the thermostat ourselves but was unable to get to it so we decided to take it to someone other than Monroe since this is the second time problems came up after getting it back from them. Midas though said the heat was the least of our problems and that the head gasket was cracked. The only thing was that there really weren't any of the indicators of such a problem, and they admitted more or less when pressed, that they really didn't do the tests that would give you a positive yes or no. So we took a chance, used this site and found North Hadley here. He looked at it, said come back in two hours, and had it changed and ready when we came back, charging us only 40$ when Midas started at 70$ or so and expected more. If we have anything else go wrong and he can handle it, that's where we're going.
