Ernie, who owns the shop, is probably the most honest mechanic I've ever met. And a nice guy. He never does work that isn't needed, and I've learned more from him about cars than anyone else.

Not only is Ernie the most honest mechanic, he's one of the most honest persons, in general, that I've met! He could easily charge an additional $10/hour for his labor but he doesn't. If he doesn't fix the car the first time, which he usually does, he will most definately make it right for you.

Ernie had previously worked for Hillside Garage in Harvard, where he was a well-respected mechanic, and then at Ray's Service Center until he decided to open his own garage in Ayer. He has been doing this for years! As exaggerated as the accolades posted on here may seem, every word is true! He is a mechanic you will trust and rely on implicitly! He and his wife Pat who is the receptionist/bookkeeper (who is also incredibly knowledgeable about cars) run a business where they treat the customer with respect, and are nothing but honest and forthright to you all the time.
