This shop has about eight guys working in a brand new building and "ok", "ok", so the owner is my son!!! But, the shop has about the best reputation in the whole metro area for, honesty, and cost effective services. They really care about the quality of their work. If you don't believe me just check how long it takes to get your car into their shop. They only schedule customers when they can reliably get to them. They don't need more business, but they do deserve the credit for the quality work they are doing. thanks guys, you make Saturaday moring at my office a little bit easier.

The people working at Rob's Auto are top-notch mechanics and diagnosticians. When my car was leaking gasoline (yikes!), the first auto shop notified me of the problem, but wouldn't track it down and wouldn't repair it (since they don't work on carburetors). The second shop told me I'd need to replace the entire carbueretor, at a cost of around $600. Rob's place took a look at it, told me the leak was near the accelerator pedal, and that the fuel pump would need to be replaced, at a cost of around $120. When they replaced the fuel pump, they further found that the whole pump didn't need to be replaced - just the valve, which was down to fabric through the rubber seal (he showed me the defective part). The head mechanic (whose name escapes me right now) lent me his car while mine was being repaired, so I could get to and from work. Their work is reasonably priced, and they will not perform unnecessary work on your vehicle. They will tell you the problems they see, and leave it to you to decide what needs to be repaired. They will explain the problem, and will give you the defective parts (if you wish). Way to go!

I just moved to the area and left a great mechanic behind in PA. I found Rob's on the CarTalk website and went to them anyway. I worked with Bruce, and it was a great experience. I made an appointment, and he knew my name before I could tell him who I was (he spotted the car). The work was done well and at a fair price. He even came in a few dollars below what he quoted me on the phone. I have already referred one co worker to Rob's, and I'll send anyone else there if they ask about a mechanic. These guys are great. They've saved our bacon many, many
times, keeping our various "throw away" kid-cars going.
This is not a shop that will sell you the moon when you
take the car in for a minor repair. Many times, they've
told us of an impending repair that will need to be made,
but will give us an estimate on how many more miles we can
safely go before making the repair, and will give us an
estimate of what the repair will eventually cost. We've
recommended countless friends and family to Rob's, and will
continue to do so. I never worry about the car when
driving away from their shop. Their honesty and mechanical
ability is unquestionable. Can you tell I have nothing but
wonderful things to say about Rob's?
We had an old Taurus that had enough miles to have been
driven to the moon. My husband loved that car. The front
seat mount kept breaking so that it was like driving a 5-
speed in a rocking chair. Rob's shop kept it going, truly
understanding the love between a man and his car.

After a chain tire shop tried to run me for an extra $800+ I
found Rob's on this website and had him look at it. Rob's
charged me $25+tax to rack it and test it, nothing was
broken or worn out! 9 months later it becomes more and more
apparent that they were correct.
I highly recommend Rob's and anytime I have a quick problem
they always seem to be able to get it looked at/fixed in a
day or two. I don't know how they do it though, since they
look constantly packed.

The battery light began flickering at times on my 1999 Ford
Contour. Rob's Auto checked out everything (two different
times) and didn't find a problem. There was no charge for
this. Days later, the light stopped flickering. Months
later, still no problem. Had I taken my car to the chain
shop where I used to go, I would have purchased a new
battery and alternator faster than you can say "fool!"
