Brad is the second owner of this business. He worked for the founder of the business for ten years or so, and then bought the first owner out when he retired. Brad is extremely competent. He won't "guess" at repairs. I've never had anything done or replaced that was unnecessary. I've referred a number of people to him and they are all now regular customers.

I'm new in town and tried out Brad's Motor Marketplace since they're near my house and since they received a good review on this website. I've moved around quite a bit and have had my share of good and bad mechanic experiences around the country. From my one experience at Brad's, I can say that it's a place where I'll take my car as long as I live in Lafayette. They were honest, efficient, respectful and tried to keep my costs as low as possible. A few months earlier, I had had my oil changed at another shop, and they told me I needed my coolant and transmission fluid changed as well for $250. I opted not to, asked Brad's to check them and they said the fluids were fine. Brad's worked on my exhaust system, replaced a control arm shaft and bushing, installed front brake pads and rotors, and gave the car a general check-up for just under $400.
