My wife and I have had our share of horrendous service in the auto repair world: slow shops, over-pricing, bad mechanics, and at the very least just downright unfriendly people. Fry's is like an oasis in my experience. I've received good recommendations for preventative work on more than one occassion, I have not yet been overcharged or felt like they were pressuring me to add some services/work that I didn't want, and they're more than willing to take the time to explain things we don't understand. The bill is clear and upfront, the store is clean with a nice family-friendly waiting room, and several of the mechanics must have had some lessons in customer service. Most places have trouble meeting ONE, maybe two of these service requirements in my experience! Normally I don't feel compelled to right reviews like this, but Fry's has been nothing but outstanding so far. I honestly don't know if they have loaners to offer or how they respond when they make a mistake becuase my experience hasn't involved either of these potential situations. I answers the "near public transportation" question as kinda sorta because this town is so small that the only transporation you'll ever need is your feet. On a side note, I moved to this town more than two years ago, and have had an encounter with most all the service-based businesses here. This is not a place to be known for its customer service! There are only one or two other places where they reach and surpass the level of customer service "treats you like a human." (Hint: If you're not from the area go to Oliverz on Main street, great fried fish and roast beef!)
