I had the same problem with my transmission for over a year, had it rebuilt but still had issues that no one could fix I'd pretty much given up on it ever running well, then when the thermastat on it went bad I took it to D & R, they fixed the thermastat, and reset all the settings on my car correctly without my knowledge, it's run amazing ever since!

Our family owns 5 cars 2 are still under the manufacturers waranty and the other three are older. The three oldest cars are a 8 year old Toyota, a 5 year old nissan, and a 13 year old Sterling. D & R {Dan & Rick owners} work on all 3 of these cars handling all work. Extremly clean shop, always honest about repairs, offer pick up and drop off of customers and offer a very fair price. They also give you an option {when appropriate } to use rebuilt parts which is great when you are keeping ageing cars on the road. I have been able to find new parts on the web at a greater discount than they offer, but their prices on new OEM parts are exactly the same price or lower than the dealership parts Dept. offer in the same area. The Sterling which is 1/2 Acura & 1/2 Austin Rover, is the hardest car to find anyone to work on as they are very hard to find parts for. D & R Autoworks does their research and knows which parts have to come from England and which parts they can get from Acura which greatly reduces the service time and the cost to me. All around, this shop is a better experience than when I take my Ford Explorer to the Ford Dealer down the street for waranty work. They also offer detailing services and every car is hand washed and vacumed before it is given back to the customer. They also take great care in keeping the interior clean with plastic including the seats and the steering wheel, which is important to me as I show the Sterling at club events. If I didn't have waranty on my other cars I would take them to D & R and even though I don't take them I always can ask their advice about what the dealership has told me about the cars they don't even work on.

They are always fair and do a great job repairing our cars. Typically they are about 1/3 the cost of a dealer shop and do only the work that is necessary. They are great and I highly recommend them.
