These guys are great, and one of the reasons I haven't moved out of this town yet! Brothers, Eric and Dave were service managers at the local VW/Suzuki/Audi/Hyundai dealer until one day they had taken enough of the big-headed owner's guff, decided to open their own shop. I used to have a '91 Dodge Colt (which even the DODGE dealer didn't like to work on), and they kept that pup running until I sold it with 195+ miles. They are the nicest guys! If something is not right after they try to fix it, they always make it right, instead of giving me the "it's your problem, kid" shrug like so many other mechanics. I went and bought a '95 VW Golf, because I know they will be able to fix it right. ASE certified, they'll work on just about anything...except for Saab's (don't ask me).

I completely agree with the previous comments. They always seem to work our VW Jetta into their schedule and have never charged us to clean out a pesky drain line for our air conditioner. They know how to build customer loyalty.

Eric and Dave Floyd were recommended to me by friends as a Volkswagen specialist. I've always been very pleased by their work, and their ability to keep the price of repair down by knowing who and who not to buy parts from. They stand by their work as far as I know (they've always gotten it right the first time.) They're the kinda guys you can call up with questions and will try to help you avoid an actual shop visit if possible. I carry a couple of their business cards in my wallet in case I run into another "v-dubber" in need of help. -MM

Dave and Eric are great guys who have gone to great lengths to help me feel secure with the older car I purchased with an insurance settlement. Knowing that I could trust their judgment and expertise has made me rest much easier with my choice; and the minor repairs they recommended were done well and within my budget. Thanks, guys!

I have known Dave and Eric for years. I grew up with Dave's stepson and bought his VW when he moved to Hawaii. That car ran for many years longer than it should have because of the attention and knowledge of the Floyd's and their staff. After a few ill-advised vehicular excursions, I bought a particularly pesky VW GTi and gave Dave and Eric a call. At the time I was living about an hour away and it was still more affordable for me to have them work on the GTi than my local VW dealer. I now live in Kansas (over 6 hours away) but still have to drive through central IL for business. I make it a point to schedule work with the Floyd's when I can and hopefully the GTi will rack up at least another 130000+ miles--if not more.

I've known Dave and Eric for years. Eric is a former neighbor. My youngest son had an old Mazda Protege that they kept in good repair for 4 years. He's replaced the car and I imagine we'll take his Toyota Corolla to Floyd's for any maintenance and repairs. We've taken our 97 Honda Accord to Floyd's for maintenmance and repairs for several years. Dave and Eric are always honest. They stand behind their work.

My friend who won't do this internet stuff told me she had taken her car to the dealership to have the vents cleaned - she was getting physically sick from whatever was being pumped into the air vents of the car and the air conditioner. They charged a bunch of money and blew out the system and told her it was good to go - but she was still getting very sick every time she tried to drive the car - a friend told her about Floyd's and they totally took apart and cleaned the system and showed her what they got out and she was thrilled to be able to drive it away and not be the tiniest bit ill. These same guys actually found a hubcap for her friends car and didn't charge her for it - she was a long time customer without a lot of budget - they sound like great people.

Dave & Eric Floyd are the owners of this shop and we have used them for a few years now. Their specialty is Audis, and VWs, although they did great work on our Lexus while we had it. Dave and Eric have always been more than fair with us, ALWAYS honest, and have only repaired things that need to be repaired- no scamming here! I would trust these guys with a blank signed check because they have that much intregity. No, I am not related to them or paid by them. We found them by asking a wholesale auto supply parts company who they would recommend. They've never steered us wrong. The only thing I'd change is to have them stay open until 6pm (instead of 5:30pm) in the evening. If you use them, you won't regret it!

Dave and Eric are amazing! We have taken our Jettas to them for years, and they are always fair and honest. They explain what is wrong very clearly and then tell us whether it needs to be fixed right now, soon, or if it just isn't worth it. I have heard that their prices are higher than other places in town, but honestly, I haven't ever cared enough to price check. Their service and the peace of mind it gives is worth its weight in gold.
