When a car breaks down Brad has been known to load the family up in the truck and trailer, late at night, to go help.
Oct 10, 2002
Brad looked at my '97 Honda Civic after Twin Cities Honda in Champaign had told me the CV boots needed to be replaced (they had pulled a bad one out of a cabinet with the accordian-pleats cut to show me how they could crack and allow oil to leak and expose the axle to dirt, etc.) and estimated the cost at $375. When Brad called me after I'd dropped off the car, I thought, "Uh, oh, here it comes." He said, however, that the CV boots, although starting to develop a few cracks, were nowhere showing weakness and would last probably another year. And, no charge for looking at the car. How about that?
