Bill has been our familiy's car mechanic for at least 16 years. We keep our cars until they become unsafe in his opinion or drop dead. He has given us good advice and managed to stretch the life of a car through just one more winter when necessary but would never let us drive an unsafe car. We usually keep each car at least 10 years. We have 2 cars. At this moment both are chevy-nova clones with over 100,000 miles. Occassionally I feed my mechanics homemade brownies or bruegger's bagels. They once had a car just like my nova with brand new brakes that had to be junked for other reasons and they put those new brakes on my car and charged nothing for the parts. They had originally done the brake job on the other car.

These guys are always honest. They are also good luck. I
have them check my car every time I am about to go on a long
trip and I've never had any problems. The only time I
didn't have them check, my transmission died on the way home.
They also do tires. This is important to note, because the
tire specialists across the street are crooks.

I have been going to them for years and always had good
experiences with them.

I have a Forrester that occasionally would not immediately
engage when shifted into Drive. The first shop insisted
that we needed a transmission rebuild/new transmission. I
took it to Maple Grove for a 2nd opinion. They were quite
sure it wasn't the transmission, and suggested a
transmission fluid flush/clean procedure that cost around
$250. Car has worked great ever since. They saved me
$2000-$3000!

I have been going to them for over 20 years. Never had a
problem they didn't make right. Sometimes they have let
me supply the parts (from the internet) when a local supply
house / dealer was ripping us off for OEM. Once I saved
over $200 doing this on a VW.
Maple Grove and Maple Grove Bill Benson are the same
place. Bill owns Maple Grove. Mike, lead mechanic, has
been there over 20 years. Mike even bought one of my cars
he had worked on !!!!!
Village Mobil - also owned by Bill Benson is now closed.
Frank from Village Mobil is now at Maple Grove.

The parts bill was much higher than I would have thought,
because they used OEM parts and I did not think to ask them
to source cheaper components. Other than that, I've no
issues and will be going back.
