I cannot say enough about Pete Moberg's integrity. He runs a tight shop. His crew is courteous, honest and knowledgeable. They will always give you the information you need to make your own decision about how and what to repair (unless it's a safety issue, then they help you avoid making a stupid decision). I've been going to Pete for 20 years. And while sometimes I've had to take the bad news about a major repair, I've never questioned the service nor the quality of the work. (an Ex Mechanic)

After a bad experience at the local Chrystler dealer, our car was way overdue for in-shop service. Peter could have taken us to the cleaners. Instead, he investigated and fixed the issues we came in with and even recommended we didn't need the new shocks we had asked about. The shop is clean and accessible, plenty of parking, very friendly and accommodating. We will deifinitely be back and recommend this shop to our friends in the area.

I have an old car with over 150,000 miles, so it's just the kind of car that an untrustworthy mechanic can make a mint on, especially since I know nothing about cars. I've taken it to Moberg's ever since I moved to the Libertyville area, and they have always been almost outrageously fair to me. I once told them I thought it needed a brake job based on miles (the brakes otherwise felt OK)--and they forthrightly called me later and said that the brakes were fine. Find another mechanic that will do that!!
