I am very careful when it comes to my car. Like most people, I usually play it safe (and pay more) and get my vehicle serviced at the local dealership. Well not anymore! I.D. Auto Service is dependable, trustworthy, and treats customers really well. The owner, Igor takes pride in his craft, he will tell you if your car doesn't need work and If it does need work, he will do it right the first time and is very fair. Expect him to be attentive to your needs, and you will be treated exceptionally well. I drive foreign cars, all have run wonderfully under Igor's workmanship. I can't think of a better endorsement than that. Try I.D. Auto Service Inc. in Gurnee and ask for Igor. Office Number: 847- 775- 2721

On 28 July 2008, I brought my 2003 Nissan Sentra in because of an odd rattle/whistle coming from the engine near the passenger compartment. Igor took me in the day I called, despite a clearly busy schedule. He listened to the noise with me and then put the car up on the lift within 10 minutes of my arrival. About 20 minutes later (during which he took two phone calls from regular customers to schedule services), he pulled my car back around to the front and explained that it was a small metal loop that Nissan installs to hold the exhaust pipe up, but that the exhaust pipe stays up just fine on its own and the metal loop (especially in our salty winters) tends to rust off. The loop had rusted, broken in two, and it was rattling against the exhaust whenever the engine fan came on. So, Igor removed the loop. I offered to pay for the service, but he turned me down saying it was a minor repair. My car sounds perfect now, and I appreciated the honesty and friendly service. I'll definitely be going back again for my next regular maintenance.
