I have been to this shop twice, once with a 1990 Honda Accord and the second with a 2003 Honda Civic. They repaired a broken drive axle on the Accord and a worn out bushing in my front suspension on the Civic. They have always been really informative and have very reasonable prices (especially for the Chicago area). I had actually taken the Civic to another shop before taking it to Zepeda, and they told me I needed both of my front struts and mounts replaced. When I took it to Zepeda they said my struts and mounts were fine it was only the bushing that needed replacing...a much cheaper repair (thank goodness). I highly recommend this shop.

My partner took her car to a neighborhood place (a civic) and they told her that she was going to need $1300 in repairs... without really understanding what she needed fixed I suggested she check out the shop in my neighborhood- Zepeda- she went in and the guys took a look at her car. They ended up keeping it for a couple of days, when through the entire thing and only adjusted on part, which solved the problem. They only charged her $60! I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a first or second opinion.

I've recently moved to the area, and after a discouraging visit to the local Midas (who overcharged, didn't fully explain things to me, and tried to sell me stuff I didn't need), I'm ecstatic to have found this shop. They replaced my starter, and I was amazed by their service and capability literally from the moment I spoke with Carlos on the phone. They were the best price, gave me a quality replacement starter, and were very accomodating with every aspect from towing to check-out. They checked the fluids, the battery, the alternator, and other aspects of my vehicle, free of charge, and gave me a detailed report, without trying to get me to get more service done. I asked about my brakes (still giving me problems after the Midas trip) and they patiently explained to me in detail what could be going wrong and what to do. I asked if I should just go ahead and have them replace my pads (for less metallic ones), and they said that I should just wait. That was refreshing.

Really liked these guys! They're around the block from my apartment, so I could walk there. They're also less than 1 mile from the Blue Line stop, also convenient. They even gave me a ride to the train one morning. My check engine light was on because I had an emission issue - OBD code P0442. Culprit: bad hoses from the evap system. The work was too much for me: you had to drop rear exhaust and drill out the rivets on the driver side wheel well to access everything. So these guys did it - new J hose and a new fuel cap $80 in parts total. Total bill with labor: $372 I was pretty happy with that. They did the work in one day, and sent me on my way. Well, the light came back on that weekend so I went back in the next Monday - they found another tiny hose with a crack, replaced it right then and there, AND they took my car down the street to the emission check facility and passed it for me. Cost for that? $0.00 Needless to say, these guys were really friendly, honest, affordable, and accommodating. I'd recommend them to my friends and family.
