Paul Gartner is the most honest mechanic I have heard about and known. The man is very knowledgeable and practical while always trying to save the customer money from repairs that are not needed at all or immediately. A true gentleman and professional.

First : Got ripped off by a SHELL gas station Mr. Bad Wrench for a brake job. Went to this guy at Dankha ( On Clark and Pratt , little south to pratt) . Fixed the bad repair instantly . Very reasonable price and found his diagonsis very accurate so far. Second Time ; Had some leak in power steering . He checked out the steering by rotating left and right and recommended no repair. Could have made easily 100 or so bucks immediatley. It's not a fancy shop . But certainly better for not so complex jobs and saves you thousands over crook mechanics and manufacturer dealers.

I started taking all may cars to John (Paul's father) back in the early 70's. When John retired Paul took over and continued at the same quality of workmanship. Paul knows his stuff but, isn't afraid to check and recheck for the lastest Tech Specs. I brought my Volvo, Mercedes, BMW, Camry and Accord there with no problems, hassles or run arounds. Everyone I've sent there thanked me later. He shares his shop space with an Ammco Tranmission outlet so dont let the big Ammco sign out front throw you. Call for his hours. Western Ave bus stops in front, rentals availbale from Enterprise Car Rental. Check out everywhere else first then go to Paul. You'll see what I mean.
