I started going to Steve at Mountain View Service on the
recommendation of a friend. I CANNOT recommend them highly
enough. I've had them do several repairs on my car, and they
are quick, honest, always call to tell me how much repairs
will be, and they have always been extremely reasonable--I
could go on and on. The last thing they did for me was to
repair my clutch, and I know they warrantied their work for a
year, and if it went bad 12 months and 3 days later, I have
no doubt they would fix it for free. They are the reason I
can continue to drive an older car. If I can't get there
during regular hours, I drop the car off at night, give them
a credit card number, and pick the car up at my convenience.
It's a small shop but I wouldn't trust my car to anyone else.

I can not say enough good things about the guys at mountain
view. I have had my Ford pickup serviced there several times
in the 10+ years I have owned it. When the solution to my
problem was simple, like one time when it was just a blown
fuse, they would just charge me for the part. When the issue
was more complicated, and they were not sure they would have
the right fix the first time, they would give me the rundown
of possibilities and discuss options. They have always done
the work promptly, and called me back immediately with
estimates, etc.
I have no idea if they offer loaner cars, as I have never
needed it. I had previously taken my truck to a larger
mechanic operation that offered shuttle service and did the
free car wash thing. However, they always seemed very
expensive and constantly pushed me for repairs that I know
my truck did not need.
However, with Mountain view, I will gladly give up the
shuttle service and car wash, for someone who knows what he
is doing, fixes things right, does not push me for unneeded
work, and charges reasonable rates.
