This shop is a family business in this remote tiny town,
once called John's Auto Electric until the old man died and
left it to his sons. The first John was a great mechanic,
but a cantankerous old fart. He had kept a 1976 Chevy Van
running for me for 20 years, complaining about it being a
piece of junk every time he reluctantly repaired it. One
day when I went on a "dump run" to the local dump and had
just backed the van up to the garbage pit, he pulled up
along side me and asked, "Do you need help pushing it in?"
These guys kept my daughter's Mazda 4 wheel drive truck
running for 400,000 hard miles, and my own 4 wheel drive
1996 Chevy truck is still going well after 250,000 miles.
This is not to say they can't repair modern cars just as
well, but they also know all about junkers.
