We recently sold our 1987 Plymouth Voyager. We believe that it was either a Monday or Friday car, but we still liked it. It was far too often in the shop for repairs. Whenever possible, we take our vehicles to Torkelson's Motors in Waukon, Iowa because we have never felt cheated by them and they have always fixed the problem the first time--thus the unanswered question about their response to their booboos. They only fix what is needed, charges a very fair rate, and don't try to fix what is not broken just to earn a little extra. They are primarily a Dodge/Plymouth Dealership, but we have brought competitor's cars to them and they will fix what they can. We have just purchased a 94 Toyota Corolla from my mother-in-law and they have been honest enough to tell us that they can't work on it totally, but they will work on what they can. We are hoping the Corolla lives up to its reputation. We also live about a half hour away from Waukon, in Decorah. Torkelson's has a service in which they will leave you a loaner car and pick up your car at your home and drive it down to Waukon themselves. This is super convenient. I highly recommend Torkelson Motors.

Great Mechanics and the staff are always friendly and knowledgable and do their best to do the job right the first time. They keep all of your car's records on hand so that they are ready when you bring a vehicle in for work. I have a rare vehicle so on occasion they haven't had the tools or knowledge to work on a problem, but when that happens they ALWAYS tell me up front that they can't help so they don't waste my time or money going through a bunch of "what if" scenarios. Definitely a shop I recommend.
