I want to buy another import just to keep these guys as my mechanics. They are truly great. As a woman, I know from personal experience that mechanics are a lot like husbands: find one ya like, and never let him go!!!! North Brady Imports have always been honest and fair. I haven't found a better place in the area. I could go on and on about them, but to spare you I won't. Just check these guys out....'nuff said.

I dropped my car off early, before they opened, put my key in the envelope and on the envelope TOLD THEM I needed new brake pads since my brakes were making a grinding noise. Mind you I TOLD THEM I needed new brake pads. They called me later that morning and told me my pads just needed cleaning. Total charge---7.50 Unbelievably honest!

Don and Terry, the owners, with mechanics Bob and Brad, and Stan in the office, operate the best foreign auto service garage in our area. They are extremely honest, as well as being very accomplished technicians. If you need a particular repair, you can trust that you do. If they feel you do not need a repair, they will also tell you that. Service rates are very reasonable and their work is professional. Give them a try. You'll not regret it.

I have never met a more honest and better qualified group of guys. They work hard to solve your problem, regardless of the make of your car.

North Brady Imports: The guys at North Brady are a friendly bunch, and many of the mechanics are the same employees who have been there for more than the 20 years that I and my husband have been taking our cars there. They will give honest answers to questions like, "if I only want to spend less than $300, what are the most important areas that need fixing"? They have shown us some sneaky (and free) ways of repairing automobiles, including hitting parts with heavy items in order "to straighten them out and make them work better", which I know sounds suspicious, but in reality worked for about 9 months before the part in question actually gave out. Their shop is NOT one of those "dealer-type" shops with a floor that looks like it is not only mopped daily, but PAINTED once a month to keep those neat-freak customers happy - in fact I enjoy seeing mechanics more interested in keeping an engine clean - and the waiting, "rustic". Finally, they have a "shop cat", who also is, um..."rustic". (Read here: "covered in oil most of the time"). Long story short - They are honest, fairly priced, will comb the ends of the earth for an old part, and will keep foreign cars running long enough to make domestic cars look bad.

Very reasonable place to go if you have a foreign car. They do a lot of work on Audis and VWs - perhaps because the japanese cars are too reliable. They are honest and half the price of Lujack's - the local VW/Audi/Mercedes dealer. It was a no brainer to start using them once my warranty ended and the Passat's gremlins came out in full force.

They're the only place I can bring my cars to and not have to worry about being exploited. They're completely honest and will do excellent work for a fraction of the cost dealers would charge. They restore my trust in human nature!!

My father has always repaired/maintained my cars but when I moved to Davenport, he wasn't there. When I began having problems with my Subaru, NBI was recommended to me by a friend and I have had nothing but great experiences there. They are very helpful and work well with females.

Owners Don and Terry are absolutely honest and do only needed repairs at best rates. They are very good at explaining necessary work and work that may be coming. We found them by accident 30 years ago when they had just left a dealership to start heir own garage and we've never considered using anyone else since. Not enough praise possible for this shop.
