I took my Honda to Performance Concepts several times, he
comes within $5 or so of his estimates every time and does
great work.

Steve, Tony, and Andy do great work. They can fix
anything, but I think the thing that they are best at is
diagnosing the complex problems. I've had my Mom bring her
car in from 70 miles away because her mechanic was about to
replace an oxygen sensor for the third time. Performance
Concepts tracked the problem down to a fuel presure
sensor. She hasn't had a problem since and that was almost
a year ago.
I've had them do everything from brakes to head gaskets
(Ford 3.5L) to transmissions. (Wife and 3 kids with
cars...)
They might not be the cheapest place to go, and Steve will
tell you that right up front, but they get it fixed the
first time, and to me that's worth a little extra.
As to treating male and female customers the same, I think
they try harder to explain what they did to the women (my
daughter in particular) than they do the men. Sometimes
they assume us guys know more than we actually do.

As another reviewer said, Steve isn't the cheapest shop in
town, and he was very upfront about that, but the man knows
his stuff. He got me in quickly for a timing belt job on my
car before a big trip, got it done right the first time, and
was very courteous. I do quite a bit of my own repairs, but
I trust Steve & his crew to treat me & my vehicle right when
I don't have the time to get to something myself.
