Replaced timing belt and water pump on my car. It was done in a timely manner and cost was less than estimate. Two weeks later the alternater belt broke. I took it back to be replaced. They have always been reasonable and honest with me. Once left my truck with them to try to identify source of occasional noise. They were honest to say the noise did not repeat and they did not charge me. Another time I asked them to look at a leak in my transmission and they found that only problem was a loose screw and charged me only a small fee when if they had been dishonest, could have socked it to me and I likely would not have known it was a scam. Great guys and place.

Tim and Mark and their staff are fair, honest, and exceptionally competent. They have worked on new and used, and American and foreign cars for us, doing everything from routine maintenance to the arcane and bizarre. They tell you in advance what to expect, they call immediately if they find anything unexpected, they perform work in a timely manner, and if something goes awry after they fix the car, they make it right. They run probably the only shop in Savannah that doesn't advertise--because they don't need to: their word-of-mouth is that positive. Like a good gynecologist, a good mechanic is hard to find-- and when you find one, you hang on to him.

Dixie was recommended by a neighbor as I was new to the area. My vehicle is an 07 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. I have been very happy with all of their service work and customer relations.. I had been around cars growing up as my Granddad and Dad had shops, so I had plenty of comparisons.
