Carl Hefner's Volvo shop has become a "family affair". My Dad bought all his cars there and then bought a Volvo for each of his kid's families - he thought his grandkids would be safer in one of Carl's Volvos. Carl not only assures mechcanical integrity (with the help of JR, a genius mechanic) he also does the best bodywork and interior work I have ever seen. My friends thought my 1983 was NEW. I loved that 1983 silver sedan but when I was finally ready for a change, I upgraded to a 2004 Volvo wagon -- just like the beaut that Carl found for Dad, and it was a comfort to know that Carl would find me a great one. The only thing with Carl is . . . sometimes you have to buy him a breakfast bisquit . . . but you always get a good story with it.

I live 8 hours from Karl's shop, but take my Volvo there for maintenance whenever possible. I know it will be well cared for. They have worked on my car for 4 years, since I first got a Volvo. Karl & Jr. really know Volvos. I can trust their work and their counsel! They take the time to know me and teach me how to care for my car - Plus I get a beautiful drive in the mountains.

My 1st Volo owned was in '90 and started with Karl in'93. Had been to 6 dealerships with in 200 miles who did not repair my car on any occation with high cost for nothing. was going to sellout of Volvos, but became aware of Mr. Heffner who has saved my time and money on repairs. He has worked on Volvos since a teen in the late 60's, I have owned a 240, 850 and now an S80 and have had great service from Grandview Auto with out exception.

Karl and J.R. are experienced Volvo mechanics. I drive one hour from my home to use them, I trust them (I am a female). I have been using them for my Volvos for at least a decade now. Karl has been working on Volvos since he was a kid, and he and J. R. are very competent at diagnosing mechanical problems with Volvos, and of course, the repair also. In addition, they are understanding and will work with me on price and payment arrangements. And, it is fun to go hang out there for a while and get to know them and the surrounding community. I recommend them without any hesitation.

This small, clean, well-organized shop does business with a personal style. "Integrity" best describes what my wife and I see there. Karl and JR keep our old 850 and 780 Volvos running and helps us anticipate big repairs on these old cars. Karl found an '04 XC70 for us. We approved it but he would not let us take it until he made it like new. The price was fair. We would buy another used Volvo from him.

Grandview Auto is a great business. It is great having a Volvo Specialist in Northeast Georgia. I haven't had one problem with my car that Karl Hefner could not fix. No matter when I asked him to look or fix something, he is never too busy to do it. Karl has worked on my car early in the mornings, late at night, and on the weekends. It is rare to fine a mechanic that puts his customers first. You will not be disappointed with Grandview Auto; I dare you to try it!

Karl has always taken care of my car problems. If it were not for him I would be walking a lot.

While on a road trip back to Connecticut, my 1990 240 volvo stopped running as we pulled into the motel lot in Mt Airy Georgia. A person on the desk mentioned that there was a volvo shop down the road. Being Friday at 7 PM I figured with a little luck the shop may be open on Saturday. I arrived at the shop and waited until the owner arrived(Karl Hefner). Within no time his mechanic showed up on his day off and together they figured that the fuel computer was the problem. Karl took the computer from his car, installed it into mine. He told me to get home and mail the computer back. I made it home with no major issues. I would like to thank Karl and his ace mechanic (JR) for all their help and going the extra step to get me going again. If all auto shops were only this goo. Thanks again Karl and JR. Frank

I own an '07 Volvo V70 and a '00 Volvo C70. My oldest son owns a '96 Mercury Sable and my youngest son owns a '98 Volvo S70. I am a single mother. Karl and JR have always gone out of their way to take care of my automotive needs. With two young males who always need their cars, they work very hard to get their cars back to them in a timely manner when they are being repaired. I highly recommend this shop.
